Our Communities

Why We Give

Spreetail is committed to leaving a lasting impact in our communities by prioritizing giving and volunteer opportunities that support our unhoused neighbors, children in need, and women in need..

Building a community-minded workforce.

When we say ‘giving is in our DNA’, we mean it. From a company of 10 to now 1500+, our giving grows as our company grows. What started as community drives in Lincoln, Nebraska has grown into programs that impact every Spreetail community across the country.

Spreetailers in Action

We hire team members who care about their communities and their ability to make an impact. Spreetail inspires these team members to give their time, energy, and resources to the communities we reside in through a variety of perks and opportunities.

Volunteer Week
Spreetail hosts two volunteer weeks a year that are dedicated to giving hundreds of team members the opportunity to give back to local nonprofits while building relationships with each other.
Community Time Off
Full-time team members can enjoy up to 24 hours per calendar year to volunteer for causes they’re most passionate about.
Donation Match
We care about what our team members care about. Spreetail will help you double your impact by matching donations every year made to the nonprofits of your choice.
Volunteer Opportunities
Regardless of working remotely, in an office, or at a fulfillment center, Spreetail will help you or your team find ways to make an impact in your community.
Volunteer Grants
Our version of ‘Dollars for Doers’ – we’ll gladly make a monetary donation on your behalf for hours spent contributing to a nonprofit’s cause.

Spreetail for Good
Our team members are some of the brightest around and have skills that nonprofits need. We help team members partner with nonprofits who are in need of a technical expert or advice on solving a problem.

How We Give

Spreetail focuses on programs that get to the root of systemic issues that hold individuals back from reaching their full potential. By researching the needs in our communities and growing strategic nonprofit partnerships, we are able to build programming that creates lasting change and empowers those we serve.

New Beginnings

New Beginnings is a program focused on community members who are taking the first step out of homelessness and entering a house or apartment. While the physical shelter provides safety, there are other items that are crucial to turn an empty house into a home. Through New Beginnings, Spreetail provides brand new twin- and full-size mattresses, bed frames, and sheets to these individuals and families.

Spread the Warmth

Spread the Warmth is a program in partnership with the Detroit based nonprofit, Empowerment Plan. Empowerment Plan hires unhoused, single parents to manufacture EMPWR Coats. These winter coats are designed for the homeless population and transform into sleeping bags. During the fall, Spreetail ships EMPWR Coats to all of our cities and distributes them to our unhoused neighbors.

Back(Pack) to School

There are approximately 15 million children a year whose families aren’t able to afford school supplies. Spreetail's Back(Pack) to School program provides thousands of kids with backpacks that are filled with everything they need to be successful in the classroom. Team members in every Spreetail city come together to stuff the backpacks before the start of the school year and distribute the supplies to local schools.

Kids in Seats

One of the largest needs for foster families across the nation is car seats. To promote the safety of children who are removed from their homes, Kids in Seats was created to make car seats more accessible to foster families. Through this program, Spreetail is working to donate manufacturer-approved car seats to foster care agencies and organizations in all Spreetail cities.
